Preparation - part 2

We ate by the waterside on Friday night, and I saw this little beauty. 1200HP from 4 x 300HP outboards. I would guess this uses at least 30 gallons of fuel per hour
Applying the bow numbers. We had bow number 01. The worst number to stick on is 88 because you always get creases in the numbers. There are about 75 entries.
And the Bacardi stickers. You are not allowed any other sponsorship for this event. So everything else must be removed.
Iain Percy had entered. To the non sailors he is the top UK Star sailor - World and European Champion, and Gold Medal in the 2000 Olympics. Unfortunately he was called back for America's cup duties at the last minute. So it was left to Patrick to hold the Union Flag as the sole UK representative when we entered. There are entries from about 18 countries.
On Saturday morning, we had breakfast in the Green St. cafe in Coconut Grove.
